SB Nation has done a jolly-good job of putting together a tremendous World Cup 2015 Mega-preview, which we hope you'll devour in the same manner that Becky Sauerbrunn devours opposing attackers!
Monday's 3-1 U.S. win against an engaged Australia side was not as convincing as the scoreline suggests. The Matildas dictated for extended stretches as the Americans struggled to find their rhythm.
Luckily, Megan Rapinoe was taking no prisoners that day. Hey-- no Pinoe, no party.
But the U.S. midfielder likely won't be able to do it all on her own against Sweden, coached by former U.S. gaffer Pia Sundaghe.
The Swedes raced out ahead of Nigeria in their opening match, only to find themselves overrun by counterattacks in the second half. The final score read 3-3 in what was an absolute cracker of a match. If the action is that explosive tonight, the Americans may find themselves in trouble. Hope for the best, and all that, right?
