New York City's preseason plans are now official.
The Blues will spend the preseason in Florida, starting next week. From January 22nd through February 1st, New York City will call the Fort Myers campus of Florida Gulf Coast University home. They'll play the FGCU men's soccer team on the 31st.
After a brief break, New York City will move to Bradenton's IMG Academy. They'll have another training camp there from February 5 through February 28th. During their stay there, the Blues will participate in the Gulf Coast Classic preseason tournament. They'll play fellow MLS club Montreal Impact on February 17, Danish club HB Køge on February 20, and wrap up with Icelandic club Reykjavik FC on February 27.
This is the second straight preseason that the Blues have spent in Florida. The camp will give manager Patrick Vieira his first extended run with the roster prior to the start of the MLS season on March 6. It'll also give fans a chance to see how Vieira intends to set up the team ahead of the club's sophomore season.
