When our friends Christian Polanco and Alexis Guerreros — a.k.a. the Cooligans — promised a big surprise at last Thursday’s Q&A with NYCFC scion Jack Harrison, they weren’t fibbing.

Christian & Alexis made sure to explain to Jack that having a food item named after yourself in the City of New York, particularly a sandwich, is very much a rite of passage on par with hanging a caricature at Sardi’s. It almost doesn’t matter if the eponymous sandwich is good, really — think Larry David’s whitefish-sable-and-capers letdown from Curb — it’s the fact that someone thought you were cool enough to have the honor to begin with.
Luckily, the infamous NYC food truck operation known as Hard Times Sundaes didn’t just hook up a Jack Harrison Burger; it’s really, really good.
