David Villa returns to the MLS Team of the Week

A day after making the game day roster for the league's All-Star Game for the second straight year, el Guaje is back amongst MLS's weekly honorees, while Jack Harrison made the honorable mentions.

Another road date. Another big win.

And another scoring turn for David Villa.

Yes, the NYCFC skipper opened the proceedings once again for Patrick Vieira's Blues, extending his MLS Golden Boot lead with his thirteenth goal of the year. Sunday's 3-1 win at the Stade Saputo was New York City's fifth win in six games, and their league-leading sixth victory away from home in 2016. For Villa, the performance meant yet another appearance on the MLS Team of the Week.

Not bad for the dog days of summer.

Jack Harrison -- a.k.a. The Bolton Brawler -- was named to the TotW reserves, along with a strong bid for MLS Goal of the Week. You can vote for Jumpin' Jack Flash's And 1 mixtape-quality left-footed wonder by clicking HERE.
