Straight figures.

No intro, no snappy lede, no puns, no bluster. Let’s go right to the numbers, because a new video game is coming out and it is called FIFA 17.

Wooooooooooo! A few quick thoughts here:

  • Based on the last couple of months, Khiry Shelton is the most underrated NYCFC player. Expect his figure to tick upward over the first couple of roster updates.

  • I keep forgetting that Mix is on the team.

  • Individual stat leaders according to FIFA Ultimate Team metrics: PACE: Mendoza (90), DRIBBLING: Villa (82), SHOOTING: Villa (82), DEFENDING: Iraola (73), PASSING: Pirlo (91), PHYSICALITY: Chanot (81)

  • Iraola is listed primarily as a central mid, Shelton as a right winger, and Mendoza & Taylor as strikers.

  • Iraola is the only player on the roster not to clock in below a 60 in any of those six major FUT stats. Nobody else comes closer than Mix, whose lowest mark is a 56 in defending.

  • I need this game in my life-space.
