Even after Brexit, we never thought that it could happen here. But folks, it can happen here.
Ever since the most recent vote for MLS Goal of the Week was posted, David Villa’s instant-goal-of-the-year man-strike from the heavens has either been a narrow leader or even second place behind some guy from Montreal who wasn’t even trying to score really:
This goal (if we can even call it that) is terrible. It ought to be credited to entropy, with Anthony Jackson-Hamel credited with merely an assist. Even his own home-cookin’ commentator throws him under the bus for lack of intent. I mean, remember when Tim Howard didn’t even celebrate when the wind carried his deep ball into Bolton Wanderers’ net for a goal that Timmy himself called “cruel”? That man had the right idea. Anthony Jackson-Hamel, who is probably a made-up and not-real person, deserves no glory for what he is (claiming to be) responsible for.
Here’s your call to action: VOTE FOR DAVID VILLA FOR MLS GOAL OF THE WEEK AND PUT THESE VARIOUS COCKAMAMIE SKYLARKINGS AND CHICANERIES TO REST, DADGUMMIT. HERE’S THE LINK AGAIN. CLICK IT AND THEN CLICK ANOTHER THING AND THEN OK.
