Want to know how good David Villa’s post-to-post scoring strike really was in NYCFC’s win over Atlanta United on Sunday? Even Univision Deportes’ apocalyptically bad English-language commentary couldn’t ruin it. No. Not by a damn sight.
What more can you say?@Guaje7Villa with a STUNNER. #NYCvATL

If this magnificent stroke of genius wasn’t nominated for MLS Goal of the Week, Don Garber would have to be impeached. Luckily, we don’t have to breach that subject.
But remember the last time el Guaje was in contention for this particular honor for his outlandish howitzer blast in the dying moments at Talen Energy Stadium? Yeah, he didn’t win. Dishonor. Dishonor on our nation and the world.
For all our past failures, we still have a sterling opportunity to do justice on behalf of our star man, captain, and future Nobel Peace Prize recipient.
A vote for Villa is a vote for life, freedom, beer, resilience, chicken fingers, and courage. Vote for your man. Just do it.
