US OPEN CUP 2017: New York City FC vs. New York Red Bulls injury report

What’s up with this Pirlo chap, anyway?

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Maxime Chanot, clearly Major League Soccer’s fourth-best player overall, is iffy with a hamstring ailment picked up during the recent international break with Luxembourg. The increasingly enigmatic Andrea Pirlo has been given a clean bill of health for the first time in weeks, having hocus-pocused his knee expertly.

Oh! And Jesse Marsch is suspended for slamming some balls in last year’s Open Cup flameout against Philadelphia.

Slammin’ balls. Hmmmm.

You do you, J-Mar.
