Can’t even be that mad about this.

The legend of ”Daddy Yangkee” continues.

In Jeonju, South Korea, Venezuela bested the United States 2-1 in extra time in the quarterfinals of the U20 World Cup. The victorious captain, New York City FC’s own Yangel Herrera, went the distance for la Vinotinto.

This is just the second U20 World Cup appearance all-time for Venezuela, who fell to the United Arab Emirates in the Round of 16 eight years ago, and this unprecedented run has a lot to do with Herrera: with the captain’s armband hugging his immaculate left arm, he delivered an extra-time winner over Japan on Tuesday to set up the USA clash.

The Manchester City loanee’s string of standout performances comes as no surprise to NYCFC fans, who witnessed his coming-out party in Columbus on April 29th. Herrera notched a goal and an assist on the night, along with some unabashedly physical play in the midfield, on the way to a 3-2 win.

All sights are now set on Thursday, when Venezuela faces Uruguay with a spot in the championship match on the line. Buena suerte, Yangel!
