Now that Saturday’s adrenaline has finally started to die down, it’s time for New York City FC fans to face it:
Frederic Brillant had a really good game.
As a starter.
That appears to be the key thing to understand about Trill Brill: a clampdown appearance of the substitute’s bench for the last 15-25 minutes of a tight game just doesn’t suit the Big Man from Sedan. It’s gotta be #90orNothing.
In fact, the dude should switch his kit number from 13 to 90 just so Patrick Vieira won’t forget.
For now, his yeoman’s work at the back and a headbanger of a game-winning goal have earned him a spot on the league’s weekly honor roll.
Oh, and David Villa made it, too. He’s good.
