Maxi Moralez and Jo Inge Berget removed from NYCFC’s injury report

City regains two key attackers ahead of Decision Day

Both Maxi Moralez and Jo Inge Berget missed New York City FC’s 3-1 loss to D.C. United last weekend due to injuries sustained in weekly training. Though we can’t speak much to the effect that Berget would have had on the game, we can with little uncertainty say that Moralez was deeply missed in the attacking midfield. Luckily for fans of the club, ‘Frasquito’ — as well as Berget — will be available tomorrow afternoon against the Philadelphia Union.

Coming into this Sunday, NYCFC are as healthy as they have been since this summer. Yes, star winger Ismael Tajouri-Shradi is listed as “questionable” for this match due to an ankle injury. But according to Blue City Radio, manager Domé Torrent has said that Izzy is “healthy” ahead of Decision Day.

So long as Taty Castellanos and Eloi Amagat are not on the team sheet tomorrow, NYCFC has a solid chance at righting past wrongs and going into the MLS Playoffs with confidence and, most importantly, homefield advantage.
