NYCFC’s U-19 Team Just Completely Destroyed Another Youth Club

The final score was 9-0. Yeah...

If the emergence of James Sands is anything to go by, then it can be safely assumed that New York City FC’s youth academy is pretty damn good. I mean, after all, NYCFC’s U-16 has won more trophies than the senior team has.

In an extremely lopsided contest, NYCFC’s U-19 squad absolutely smashed Beachside SC 9-0. Notable performances include Jonathan Jimenez scoring a hat trick, while academy standouts Justin “Cavani” Haak and Will Sands (the twin brother of James) also netted goals of their own. The other goals came by way of Nico Benalcazar, Kameron Blaise, and Dante Polvara, the last whom scored a brace.

In their first five games of the US Soccer Development season, New York City FC U-19 has won four of its first five games, outscoring their opponents 19-to-3 in that span.

Needless to say, the future looks bright for NYCFC. Keep up the good work, Little Blues!
