Maxime Chanot has returned to training

The Luxembourg defender will be available ahead of the first Hudson River Derby of 2018

It was quite the surprise when it was announced that Maxime Chanot would not feature for New York City FC this past Sunday against FC Dallas due to “personal matters.” Despite NYCFC winning the contest 3-1 with Sebastien Ibeagha filling in valiantly for Chanot at center back, fans immediately speculated about the situation and worried that any kind of extreme situation could force the Luxembourg center back to miss a prolonged period of time for the team.

Fortunately for both fans and the team, all those worries can now be brushed aside.

NYCFC has released one of their training videos and in it, Chanot can clearly be seen training with first team, just on time for their bout against the rival New York Red Bulls on Saturday.

Since joining the club midway through the 2016 season, Chanot has been a star for the Boys in Blue and has been among the best center backs MLS has to offer.

Welcome back, Mad Max!
