James Sands loaned to Louisville City

NYCFC’s first-ever Homegrown Player will try to find minutes in USL for the next few weeks

New York City FC have announced that their first-ever Homegrown Player James Sands has been loaned out to USL side Louisville City FC.

The loan isn’t for very long, as Sands will only be with Louisville until September 1. However, the defending USL champions will have five games from now until that point, meaning that Sands will definitely have a handful of opportunities to play.

Sands has had struggled to get minutes while with NYCFC. Since signing midseason last year, the Rye, NY native has only capped in one league game an one US Open Cup game.
