Maxime Chanot has been sorely missed by New York City FC these past two games while away on international duty with Luxembourg. However, it’s always nice to see one of our own making waves for their country.
In a matchup against San Marino as part of the new UEFA Nation’s League, Chanot capitalized on a botched clearance off a corner and opened the game’s scoring with a beautiful low-driven shot from distance.
Congrats @MaximeChanot on the goal for Luxembourg in a 3-0 win over San Marino today #NYCFC pic.twitter.com/7toICeHwkD

Chanot’s class finish was the catalyst in what would become a 3-0 win for Luxembourg, putting them on top of Group 2 in League D of the UEFA Nation’s League with two wins in as many games.
That’s pretty frickin’ lit if you ask me!
Congratulations to Chanot on his goal and Godspeed to Luxembourg in their continued push towards international glory.
