It was only recently that Joe Scally returned to New York City FC from a hip injury that has kept him on the shelf for most of this season. And mere weeks after his return, NYCFC’s newest Homegrown Player will be departing the Big Apple to compete on a much bigger stage.
A few days ago, it was announced that Scally, as well as NYCFC youth players Tayvon Gray and Andres Jasson will be representing the United States in the U-17 World Cup in Brazil starting on October 26.

Also joining the trio will be NYCFC U-19 coach Matt Pilkington, who will serve as part of the Baby Yanks’ coaching staff.
To date, Scally has represented the USMNT’s U-17 team 19 times. Meanwhile, both Gray and Jassen represented the U-17’s in the 4 Nation Tournament last month.
Congrats on your call-ups, boys! Make us proud!
