Who will be New York City FC’s coach next season? What new signings will don the famous Etihad shirt? We don’t know the answers to these questions, but we now know who City will be playing and on what dates these contests will take place.

Earlier this afternoon, NYCFC revealed their full schedule for the 2020 MLS season.

To this point, NYCFC had already announced their first three games of the 2020 season, including their home opener. The first trio of matchups include two road games against the Columbus Crew and Toronto FC, before returning “home” to Yankee Stadium to face FC Dallas.

A few days ago, New York City also announced the “Citi Field Series” in which they will play four games at Citi Field in Queens instead of Yankee Stadium. We now know what teams the Boys in Blue will be playing in these games. The Citi Field Series kicks off on April 26 against first-year expansion club Nashville SC. Following that, NYCFC will take on the Montreal Impact, Philadelphia Union, and D.C. United on July 25, August 8, and September 26, respectively, in the home of the New York Mets.

Of course, the dates of the Hudson River Derby against the rival New York Red Bulls are sure to be sought out by fans. The first of the two derbies will take place at Yankee Stadium on May 31 before having a second battle at Red Bull Arena on August 23. Don’t forget that this year, the winner of the Hudson River Derby will be awarded with a trophy due to the coming together of supporters from both NYCFC and the Red Bulls.

NYCFC will also meet MLS’s shiny new toy, the David Beckham-backed Inter Miami FC for the first time in 2020. The two will meet twice next season — once in Florida on July 18 and again on September 16 in the Bronx.

The Blues will also have an opportunity to play against the defending MLS champions Seattle Sounders on June 27 in the Emerald City.
