If there’s anything you can say about Alexander Callens, it’s that he’s incredibly durable and reliable. The Peruvian center back played every minute of every regular season game after joining New York City FC in 2017, and continued to log an extraordinary amount of minutes in 2018 as well.
Unfortunately, the Pigeons’ ironman will be forced to watch from the sidelines for the second straight week tomorrow against Minnesota United due to a hamstring injury.

Sebastien Ibeagha — who started last week against the Montreal Impact — is likely to be given the nod while Callens recovers.
In other news, however, Maxi Moralez has been lifted from the injury report and is expected to return to pitch tomorrow at the grand opening of Allianz Field. So, gotta take the good with the bad.
