Ismael Tajouri-Shradi was a true spark plug for New York City FC this past weekend against Minnesota United. In a bizarre game that ended in a 3-3 stalemate, Izzy had his hand in every goal, scoring twice and letting off a cracking assist to Taty Castellanos — who had a great game in his own right — en route to reminding onlookers why he was viewed as one of the most dangerous attacking options in Major League Soccer in 2018.
Check it out for yourself!

For this stellar performance, ITS was given MLS Team of the Week honors for Week 7. It didn’t stop there, though. Tajouri-Shradi was also given the Audi Index Player of the Week for amassing the most Audi Index points in the week!

Tajouri-Shradi has only featured sparingly for NYCFC through their first 6 games. But a performance like this can only lead to more starts for the Libyan winger moving forward. It’s either that, or wait for Jesus Medina to finally be the player he’s supposed to be.
Congrats, Izzy!
