New York City FC seem to have finally found a groove, scoring 7 out of a possible 9 points within the span of one week. These points have come in the form of wins against D.C. United and the Chicago Fire, as well as a 1-1 draw against Orlando City this past Saturday.
While NYCFC’s quality as a whole in these three games is the subject of much debate, the contributions of Héber — the team’s newest forward — is undeniable.
Since arriving to the Bronx earlier this month, Héber has made 5 appearances, three of them being starts. In those starts, he has scored two goals and has also collected two assists.
These numbers were good enough to see the Brazilian make last week’s Team of the Week. And lo and behold, he’s done it a second straight week!

Despite only being with NYCFC for a few weeks, Héber has proven to be every bit as good as advertised since being integrated with the first team. And odds are he’ll only get better from here.
Barring a breakdown of Jesus Medina proportions, we look forward to watching Héber bring the Boys in Blue some much-needed success in the coming weeks.
