For those of you who don’t follow New York City FC too well — or, at least, don’t digest all of the video content the team puts out — Brad Stuver is one of the most likable and down-to-earth guys you’ll find in the locker room. And today, he’s announced something that will only further endear him to NYCFC’s fanbase.
Throughout the month of June, the goalkeeper will be providing performance-based donations to the “Playing for Pride”, an LGBTQ advocacy group involving athlete ambassadors. Stuver has also encouraged fans to match his donations.
This June I will be @playingforpride and donating:

$5 for every game I play
$5 for every NYCFC shutout
$1 for every save
You can match my donations or donate any other amount you would like #soccerforall #pride
Despite being primarily a backup goalkeeper, odds are we’ll see Stuver on the field at some point due to primary netminder Sean Johnson being selected for the USMNT’s provision 29-man Gold Cup roster.
Here’s hoping he kicks ass and raises some dough for this awesome cause. We love ya, Brad!
