New York City FC’s 2-0 win over the Montreal Impact this weekend was huge, as were several of the players’ individual performance.
One in particular has stood out to those who select Major League’s Soccer weekly best XI, and this left wingback Ben Sweat.

I must admit, I’m surprised Ismael Tajouri-Shradi didn’t make this list after his gem of a game. But, Sweat definitely played his best game of the season against Montreal and is probably deserving of some type of honor for his valiant performance in place of the injured Ronald Matarrita.
