With the way the rumors have been circulating recently, it seems that New York City FC is closer than ever to getting their own stadium within the five boroughs.
Let’s go through a quick recap:
In early March, Claudio Reyna said that the club was “close” to procuring a site. A little over a week later, Yankees president Randy Levine told Bloomberg that an announcement about a stadium could be coming in 2019. And just last week, reports surfaced that NYCFC had a site not far from Yankee Stadium in mind — which we have concluded is the GAL Manufacturing facility on the 153rd and River Avenue — and that the club still plans on announcing something this calendar year.
And now, another nugget has surfaced. Brenda Cahill — @brendampc on Twitter — sent this tweet out last night:

I couldn’t verify all of the information presented, but I was made aware of the original poster, who understandably wishes to remain anonymous. So make of it what you will.
So, now that we have all of this new conjecture at our disposal, what do you think? Will NYCFC have a stadium within the next five years? Or will we get our heart broken for the 1,000,000th time?
