It’s been quite a long time since we’ve seen Joe Scally — New York City FC’s youngest Homegrown Player — in action. As a matter of fact, the 16-year-old right back hasn’t seen playing time since the fourth round of last year’s U.S. Open Cup against the New York Red Bulls.
The young Lake Grove, NY native cam into this season as the de facto back-up right back to Anton Tinnerholm until a hip injury — which required surgery — put him out of action earlier this season.
According to City’s latest injury report, Saclly has returned to the fold.

The odds of Scally seeing playing time now that Eric Miller has joined the club isn’t entirely likely. But still, depth is always a plus.
Welcome back, Joe!
