New York City FC have a lot riding on their Saturday afternoon showdown with Toronto FC. A win would see the Boys in Blue go to the top of the Eastern Conference standings, a stark difference than what we saw from NYCFC in the early stages of last season.
Unfortunately, City may have to do it without several key players at their disposal. In their latest injury report, Maxi Moralez, Anton Tinnerholm, and Alfredo Morales are all listed as ‘questionable.’ Gedion Zelalem is also listed as question — a recurring theme for him — while new signing Thiago Andrade remains out while awaiting his visa.

Maxi and Alfredo both missed last week’s game against Orlando City due to injury whilst Tinnerholm was taken off late in the second half due to an issue with his hamstring.
Tinnerholm’s absence potentially opens the door for young Homegrown signing Tayvon Gray to make his first MLS start. Sebatien Ibeagha could also be given the nod having replaced Tinnerholm last weeked. Maxi and Alfredo’s absences could also see Andres Jasson and Nicolas Acevedo make their second consecutive starts.
Despite Ronny Deila having a few options he can go with, the hope is that all the guys listed are able to play on Saturday’s return to Yankee Stadium.
