The 34 year old Argentinian Midfielder, Maxi Moralez, turned back the clock with two assist to beat the New England Revolution 2-0.
Moralez first assist came in the 33 minute when he lobbed the ball over the backline and Valentin Castellanos finished with the header and his 9th goal of the season.
Mini Max added another assist to the stat sheet in the 55th minute with a pinpoint cross to the right foot of Castellanos who netted his second goal of the game.
After the game, Taty gave all the credit to his fellow countryman. "Since I got here he’s been a big brother to me and he’s helped me a lot. His way of playing and his quality of play helps raise my level and he’s also provided me with a lot of assists" said Castellanos during the post press conference.
Moralez has 8 assists this year tied for second most assist this year trailing only Carles Gil who has 15 assists for the Revs. The little genius is looking to return to 2019 form when he became only the 3rd player in MLS to have 20 assist in a single season.
If Maxi keeps bringing the magic NYCFC is set for a deep run in the playoffs.
