New York City FC looked gassed in the steamy, sticky heat of a Tennessee night as they lost to Nashville SC 1-0. It was a step backwards for NYCFC, as they once again won the possession battle (61% to 39%), but lost the game.

There isn’t much to take from the performances tonight. Now it’s time for you to rate the players from this sweaty, low-scoring affair.

• New York City took 14 shots, but not a single one was on target
• Mounsef Bakrar was scoreless, again
Talles Magno didn’t even make the bench

The ratings form will remain open until midnight on Sunday, June 23. The results will be published on Monday, June 24.

  1. Ilenic would be benched for weeks by me for that performance coming off his previous disastrous outing. He backs off on the cross for their goal. He’s either scared to get hit by the ball or he’s clueless about how to defend. It was one of the worst things I’ve seen a defender do. I would be going crazy on a teammate in my amateur league if they did that. Until he can play with the grit expected of a professional, he should be riding the bench.
