New York City FC player ratings are determined by you, the Hudson River Blue readers: Here are the NYCFC player ratings from the impressive 2-1 come-from-behind win over Nashville SC on Sunday in The Bronx.
The ratings are strong after New York City won for the sixth time this season at Yankee Stadium: The team average is a solid 7.1 – that's the third-highest this year – without a single player dipping below 6.1. Andrés Perea leads he squad with a season-best 8.2, equal to Alonso Martínez's 8.2. Perea also finished slightly ahead of Martínez for the Player of the Match, with the game's two goal-scorers accounting for more than 80% of your votes.
Another player with a season-best rating is Agustín Ojeda, whose 7.8 for a performance off the bench comes on the heels of a strong game against Club León in Leagues Cup. Ojeda's exquisite curling cross across the mouth of goal to find the left foot of Martínez was just his second assist in MLS this year, but it's his third goal contribution in three games, with two of those coming in Leagues Cup. The kid is hot.

Still, some of the ratings feel a little ungenerous. You gave Nico Fernández a 6.8 (vs FotMob's 8.0), Kevin O'Toole a 6.2 (vs 7.8), and Strahinja Tanasijević a 6.1 (vs 7.0). Going into this game, Tanasijević was maybe the biggest question mark: Could the defender help lock down Nashville's potent offense and not get into foul trouble? The answers were yes and yes, and the center back –who made three clearances, won both of his tackles, and went four-for-five in ground duels – frankly deserved a higher number.

But the vibes are good after a game that had New York City go down early, then battle back to come up with the win. Nashville looked domineering over the first 10 minutes, but NYCFC grew into the game, and once both teams returned to the field after the 90-minute weather delay, it was the hosts who controlled the run of play — and ended the night with three points.
