New York City FC player ratings are determined by you, the Hudson River Blue readers: Here are the NYCFC player ratings from the cathartic 3-1 road win over a surging Chicago Fire.

It was a good day for New York City after the team staged a come-from-behind triumph to climb the table for the first time since July 3. Once again, Pascal Jansen's squad figured out how to unlock the opposition, and then bunkered down to hold on for the win. Your ratings reflect the quality of the result.

The Starting XI averaged a 7.4 rating, with Alonso Martínez (8.4) leading the way — and earning your vote for Player of the Match a team-high seventh time. But you saved your best player rating for substitute Seymour Reid (8.5), who, at age 17, became the youngest goal-scorer in club history. Just as telling, your highest rating of the night belongs to Jansen (8.6), who was the architect of NYCFC's fourth consecutive away win. The team that almost always folded on the road earlier in the season is now a distant memory.
