New York City FC player ratings are determined by you the Hudson River Blue readers: Here are your NYCFC player ratings after the 2-2 come-from-behind draw with Nashville SC at GEODIS Park on Matchday 17.

The numbers are strong after Matchday 17 without being crazy: Hannes Wolf's 8.3 is a season-high (see the Player of the Match, below), and Keaton Parks's 8.0 is his highest rating (it beats the 7.4 he earned in the 2-1 win over New England Revolution on March 15), and the highest rating for a substitute this year.

But the rating dipped up front. Mounsef Bakrar’s 5.1 is the lowest mark in the squad for the game, and Alonso Martínez’s 5.8 wasn’t much better. NYCFC lacked bite in attack, with little to show from the forwards despite early possession spells. Bakrar looked out of sync throughout, and while Martínez at least managed more shots and created a few chances in the final third, neither managed to spark real danger.

The game shifted in the second half with Keaton Parks coming off the bench. His 8.0 rating not only led all substitutes but was the second-highest on the team — a performance that transformed NYCFC’s midfield despite Parks still working towards full fitness.

He also contributed directly to both goals, providing both assists, and injecting much-needed precision in and around the opponent’s box.

Hannes Wolf once again delivered a match-defining display. His 8.3 came courtesy of a clinical brace that secured the draw and earned him Man of the Match honors for a second consecutive week. His attacking presence was matched by solid late-game defending.

Matt Freese was another key figure down the stretch. The goalkeeper stood tall in the final moments, making crucial stops to preserve the point. His 7.3 rating reflects the importance of his performance — not just in the Music City, but throughout this season — showing the kind of confidence that kept the backline composed when it mattered most.
