No NYCFC players named to 2025 MLS All-Star roster

It's just the second time in club history that nobody from New York City FC made the cut.

Last night, when Major League Soccer announced the 2025 MLS All-Star roster, it was revealed that nobody from New York City FC will be on the 26-player squad.

It's not the first time that NYCFC was snubbed. In 2023, no player from a struggling New York City side represented the team at the All-Star Game that year.

It's a far cry from 2016 and 2022, when three NYCFC players were named to those All-Star squads. (In 2022, Alexander Callens was removed from the roster due to injury, and Taty Castellanos was removed from after transferring out of the league.) Or 2015, when MLS commission Don Garber named Frank Lampard to the All-Star team even though the midfielder had yet to join NYCFC and play a single minute in MLS.

Last year, defender Thiago Martins was named a Coach's Selection by Columbus Crew head coach Wilfried Nancy. It was the 14th time a NYCFC player was named to the All-Star roster.

The All-Star Game will be played on Wednesday, July 23 at 9:00 pm ET at Q2 Stadium in Austin, TX, home to Austin FC. The game will feature all-stars from MLS and Mexico's Liga MX. You can see a full list of the MLS All-Stars below.
