New York City Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Pernetti to the new post of Chief Business Officer. The appointment follows the announcement in May of this year that Manchester City Football Club, together with the New York Yankees, had acquired Major League Soccer’s 20th expansion club.

Before NYCFC, Pernetti served as athletic director at Rutgers. In this role, Pernetti will be responsible for all business operations at NYCFC.

“I feel truly privileged to have been appointed to this position and to play a key role in building this Club from its infancy,” Pernetti said in the statement announcing his appointment. ”I relish the opportunity to be part of a global organisation, and also to use my experience  to create a first class Club for New Yorkers and one in which they will always have a voice.  This is a tremendously exciting time for all involved and interested in soccer in New York and beyond.”
