NYCFC’s Claudio Reyna held a Facebook chat with NYCFC supporters yesterday. Not much news came out of it, but one very interesting question went unanswered:

John Harington: With Robbie Rogers recently coming out as the first openly gay player in the MLS, what is NYCFC’s stance on homosexual players? Under the rule of the owners of NYCFC, homosexuality is punishable by death in the UAE. Would a homosexual player on NYCFC not be able to play a friendly match in the owner’s home country for fear of death?
