New York City FC player ratings are determined by you the Hudson River Blue readers: Here are your NYCFC player ratings after the 2-0 Hudson River Derby win over the Red Bulls at Citi Field.

Beating the Red Bulls did wonders for the numbers in these latest New York City FC player ratings.

The team's recent streak of winless, goalless performances against Pittsburgh, Montréal, and DC had plunged these ratings down into pretty low territory, but this commanding win over the most hated of rivals yielded higher scores across the board.

The Starting XI averaged out to a collective 7.2 rating, which is more than solid following a streak of average ratings in the 4s (Pittsburgh) and 5s (Montréal, DC). Winning his first-ever Hudson River Derby also got Head Coach Pascal Jansen his highest rating since taking over to start the 2025 season, so the praise was universal for how New York City handled this game.

The two goalscorers drew the best numbers and one walked away with Player of the Match, but we're also spotlighting a member of the New York City defense who helped on both sides of the big derby win, preserving that sixth clean sheet while picking up his first MLS goal contribution since 2023.
