Gotham FC will begin its defense of the Concacaf W Champions Cup crown on home turf, with the reigning champions set to host CF Monterrey Femenil on Wednesday, August 20, at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City.
General admission tickets cost $30, and can be purchased here.
It will be the first time that Gotham will play within the Five Boroughs. Last year, Icahn Stadium underwent a $3 million upgrade paid for by New York City FC, and is now an approved venue for competitive soccer matches. Icahn Stadium has hosted NYCFC II games, but New York City has yet to make an appearance at the 5,000-seat venue.
This match marks Gotham's return to the Cup. The Goths clinched the cup's inaugural title this May, in a landmark victory that secured Gotham's ticket to both the 2026 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and 2028 FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.

Monterrey is a familiar foe for Gotham. The two sides met in last year's group play during the 2024 tournament, battling to a tense 0-0 draw in September on Gotham's home turf. Both teams return to the same group for this edition of the Cup, joining Washington Spirit, Vancouver Rise FC Academy, and Alianza Women FC in Group B.
En route to last year's title, Gotham placed second in Group A, defeating Fraziers Whip and Alajuelense and tying with Monterrey and Tigres UANL Femenil. The club advanced to the semifinals, defeating Club América Femenil 3-1 with goals from Geyse and Midge Purce. Gotham went on to win the Cup with a 1-0 victory over the Tigres thanks to a lone goal from Esther González.
The upcoming August clash is the first of two Gotham home fixtures in the tournament's group stage, with the second set for October 1 against the Washington Spirit at a venue yet to be determined. This year's group stage runs from August to October 2025. The tournament will then resume in May 2026, when the top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals. The 2025/26 Concacaf W Champions Cup final will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The team that lifts the trophy will qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup and the 2028 FIFA Women’s Club World Cup.
