Earlier today, New York City FC teased out a new capsule collection from adidas Soft Lux on the club's social media accounts. According to the posts, the collaboration between NYCFC and the ultra-comfortable sportswear line will only be available at Yankee Stadium starting this Saturday, August 30, when the club hosts DC United in Matchday 27.
Details are sketchy on the collection — it's not clear what items will be available or what they will cost. But the two products we can pick out from the promo video and stills look good: A blackout "New York City FC" sweatshirt with New York magazine font, an off-white t-shirt with drop shoulders and "The FC MADE IN NYC" on the back. Yeah, we'd wear that.

Besides, the vibes from the promo video and stills are good. They feature Andrés Perea, Justin Haak, and Maxi Moralez hanging out at the Square Diner in TriBeCa — just three professional footballers catching up on a summer afternoon in Lower Manhattan.

The best moment is when Maxi pretends to be a short-order cook on the all-day breakfast shift. He's got the paper hat, the apron. Maybe it's a metaphor for what it means to be a No 10 in his 20th year as a professional?
Or it could be simpler than that: Maxi is a father to two young children, and we're guessing he's the kind of dad who makes pancakes for the kids on the weekend.
