NYCFC

  • Player Availability: Maxi Moralez is the only injury absence. Head coach Nick Cushing said Jovan Mijatović’s availability is pending a visa-related issue being resolved, but Agustín Ojeda should be available.
  • Who will make the Starting XI? Cushing has plenty of options on the wings and in the midfield. Will Hannes Wolf get the nod over Talles Magno? Will Julián Fernández start, or come off the bench?

Charlotte FC

  • Player Availability: Ben Bender, Brandt Bronico, and Brandon Cambridge are expected to be out.
  • Charlotte sold Kamil Jozwiak and Karol Swiderski, but recently added former Orlando City player Junior Urso.
  • New Charlotte manager Dean Smith has an impressive resume: He managed Leicester, and Norwich before that. He was the manager of Aston Villa when they were promoted to the English Premier League in 2019.
